The Joe Public retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience for hospital and health system marketing leaders who are on a journey to transform their approach to healthcare marketing.

Started in 2013 by change agent Chris Bevolo, author of Joe Public Doesn’t Care About Your Hospital, this intimate, camp-like experience has helped marketing leaders from across the country tackle the toughest challenges they face with help from Chris and a group of their peers.

Attendees will be guided on their journey by Chris Bevolo and Chris Boyer, a recognized leader in healthcare digital marketing and change management who has helped transform two large systems over the past five years and is now part of the ReviveHealth team.

The Retreat curriculum will be based on the hottest trends and biggest challenges facing healthcare marketers today, such as personalized marketing, tightening budgets and resource allocation, and marketing enterprise design. But the Joe Public Retreat is about more than sitting in an audience and taking notes. The curriculum is designed to help you develop key goals, actions and takeaways throughout the experience. Chris is an award-winning author of several books including “Joe Public Doesn’t Care About Your Hospital,” and frequent keynote speaker and featured presenter on the topics of healthcare marketing and branding. His latest book, “Joe Public III: The End of Hospital Marketing” was released in January 2018.

The Joe Public Retreat is a highly interactive experience, including group exercises, in-depth discussion and extensive learning – with a little fun tossed in as well. You’ll receive input and guidance from Chris and Chris, and just as importantly, from your cohort of marketing leaders. From pre-retreat homework to plan development during the engagement to post-retreat support from your retreat team and your cohort, the retreat can serve as a transformational pivot for your vision of healthcare marketing.

The 2016 Retreat was held February 17-19 at the luxurious Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina, a perfect place to to get away and think big.

Finding an environment to get away, clear the mind and engage afresh is a critical part of any retreat experience, and we were excited to host our February 2016 Retreat at the beautiful Inn at Palmetto Bluff.

The Inn at Palmetto Bluff features a charming collection of cottages, cottage suites, and vacation homes all nestled between vibrant waterfronts and tranquil forests. Designed in classic Southern style, these accommodations offer luxurious residential touches such as vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, opulent bathrooms and verandas with stunning views.
