Vanderbilt University Medical Center Taps ReviveHealth as Integrated Marketing Agency of Record

Nashville – ReviveHealth, a Weber Shandwick company and one of the industry’s premier integrated marketing communications firms for health systems, health services and health technology, today announced that it has been named integrated marketing agency of record for Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), which includes a leading medical research center and the highest-ranked hospital in Tennessee. The selection follows an agency review initiated in 2016, and ReviveHealth is tasked with stewardship of VUMC’s brand and all marketing, advertising, digital, social and PR work to support the organization.

“Vanderbilt is rapidly innovating its approach to healthcare delivery, and we needed an agency partner that not only understands our clinical and business strategies, but can help us with creative tools and tactics to engage consumers across all platforms,” said VUMC Chief Marketing Officer Jill Austin. “We are working with ReviveHealth in this new capacity to develop and execute strategies that continue to differentiate our brand and that reach people where they are, which is increasingly mobile, always on, and with a whole new set of expectations when it comes to the experience they have with our brand.”

As part of the Weber Shandwick Global Healthcare practice, ReviveHealth brings clients the expertise of a healthcare specialist agency, plus the breadth, capabilities, and relationships of a global leader in communications. As a result, the agency is uniquely positioned to help drive growth and differentiation for VUMC amid a rapidly changing marketing communication ecosystem through integrated marketing initiatives, creative development, digital engagement, and media planning and buying.

“We are honored to be selected by VUMC as its agency of record for marketing and advertising,” said Brandon Edwards, chief executive officer of ReviveHealth. “We have diversified our capabilities and put purpose at the core to be able to help our clients navigate the advertising and digital landscape, and evolve and grow their businesses using the most innovative platforms and tools.”

ReviveHealth first began working with Vanderbilt in 2012, helping the academic medical center with specific PR needs, with the engagement expanding in 2015 as VUMC sought expertise to rethink its marketing strategy with a digital-first mindset. ReviveHealth has also been engaged to develop the brand and go-to-market strategy for the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network, one of the largest physician-led networks in the country that brings together doctors, hospitals and health systems, insurers, and businesses across Tennessee and surrounding states to deliver population health.
