Senior Vice President, Digital Department Lead
Rich likes to see the big picture, and why not – he’s been advocating, and in many cases overseeing, the confluence of the digital and analog worlds for two decades. His passion is helping clients find the right marketing mix, and since he’s a digital guy, seeing where digital solutions fit into that mix.
Rich has led digital and digital health at agencies large and small. He dove into health heart-first, leading digital for Boston Scientific’s Cardiovascular business, then redefining digital health at Edelman Chicago, where his influence was felt in offices across the country. His digital health connection also figured prominently at Chandler Chicco/InVentiv Health, and W2O Group.
Rich also has significant experience with traditional public relations and advertising, having practiced both at agencies such as Weber Shandwick, McCann Minneapolis, and Carmichael Lynch.
When Rich isn’t knee-deep in digital health, you can find him running or cycling along the many trails near his home in the Twin Cities. Or, once the pond in his back yard freezes, you’ll have to pry him from the ice. Rich also is the father of twin boys – high schoolers – who keep him and his wife very busy (if he’s not in a hockey rink, he’s on a pitch, in a basketball gym, or on a golf course).
Rich began his career as a reporter for the International Falls Daily Journal, where he consistently got his butt handed to him in the adult hockey league on the Minnesota-Ontario border. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a degree in journalism.
